Wiping lip seal with lateral lip

Note: This wiping lip seal is straight and not suitable for curved or quadrant shower enclosures!

This horizontal shower seal has been designed for shower doors with a glass thickness of 6–8 mm.

The glass engagement section (the part that is clipped onto the glass) is made of rigid transparent-clear PVC, while the sealing lips are made of soft PVC with a transparent textured finish. The vertical sealing lip (so-called wiping lip) has a length of 18 mm, allowing gap widths of 20 mm for 6 mm glass thickness and 22 mm for 8 mm glass thickness to be reliably sealed.

The deflector of this seal is designed with a 90° angle to the glass engagement section, unlike our other wiping lip seals which have a 135° angle. This allows the water deflection profile to glide smoothly over threshold strips mounted on the shower tray or floor. The deflector, measuring 14 mm, directs splash water effectively back into the shower area.

Thanks to its structured soft lip, the wiping lip offers improved gliding properties. The sealing profile prevents water from escaping to the outside while blending discreetly into the appearance of your elegant frameless glass shower enclosure.

Please note that due to the special design of this product, water may potentially accumulate in the area where the two side sealing lips meet, forming a small cavity. This may lead to mold formation. This is not a material defect but is due to the specific construction and can be avoided by sealing the small opening in the side lip area with a drop of silicone.

Mold formation in this area is not considered a valid reason for complaint.
