Acrylic half-round bar for 5 mm glass

This acrylic half-round bar is not self-adhesive and serves as an effective water stop and impact edge for shower sealing profiles. It is also ideal for open walk-in showers, helping to reliably keep water within the shower area. Especially in level-access wet rooms, this straight, discreet, and transparent strip blends in almost invisibly with the rest of the shower while significantly reducing cleaning effort.

The half-round profile is made of acrylic and is suitable for all shower enclosures, glass showers, and level-access or barrier-free shower systems. The half-round bar measures 10 mm in width and 5 mm in height, and is available in lengths of 100 cm and 200 cm.

To install the profile, thoroughly clean the surface so that it is dry and free from dust and grease. The acrylic water stop is then bonded to the tiled floor or shower tray using transparent silicone. Silicone is a practical adhesive and sealant due to its temperature resistance and water-repellent properties. Apply the silicone to the underside of the profile and position it at the desired location. In showers with glass doors, the sealing lip should overlap the acrylic bar by approximately 2–3 mm. If excess silicone is pressed out during installation, remove it immediately. Before using the shower, always observe the curing time specified by the silicone manufacturer.
