Seals in matt black, vertical and horizontal, at duschdichtungsprofile.de
Sealing tape for showers and bathrooms in matt black, along with black vertical and horizontal shower seals, can be easily integrated into your existing bathroom design. Vertical seals close the gap between doors, glass panels and walls. Horizontal seals, such as brush seals, protect the floor from splashes and water surges.
In our range, you’ll find shower seals with integrated magnetic closing strips and magnetic seals in black for two shower doors in an all-glass shower enclosure. These shower seals are suitable for the gap between two glass doors that meet at 90-degree and 180-degree angles and close magnetically. This shower door profile is suitable for all glass panels with a thickness of 6–8 mm and is simply slipped onto and clipped onto the glass. You can find step-by-step instructions for replacing the seals here.
Vertical seals, such as the black hollow-chamber seal for glass thicknesses of 6–8 mm, are used as a seal between a glass shower door and a fixed glass panel, between glass and a wall, or between two glass shower doors. This seal can be opened inwards and outwards, making it ideal for swing doors. The hollow-chamber seal is suitable for use as a wall seal, gap seal and glass door seal.
Black lip seals act as splash guards for the doors of a black glass shower enclosure and are fitted to the bottom edge of the glass door. These seal profiles are straight and non-flexible, and are therefore not suitable for quarter-circle or circular showers. The black seals seal the gap between the glass door and the shower tray or floor.
Caring for and maintaining black shower seals for optimum splash protection
The precise workmanship and robust material of our black shower seal profiles, shower enclosure profiles and shower profiles ensure reliable protection against water splashing. We recommend that you clean the shower seals regularly with a microfibre cloth and lukewarm water to maintain both their sealing performance and appearance for years to come.
The section of our shower profiles that is fitted onto or slid over the exposed glass is made from rigid PVC. This ensures that each profile adheres perfectly to the glass edges and is easy to install and use. The bellows, sealing lip or sealing flap, water deflector and magnetic pockets are made from soft PVC. This ensures the smooth gliding action and durability of the replacement seals. In the care Products section, we have put together a selection of useful cleaning products and tools for cleaning and maintaining the black shower seals.
Frequently asked questions about black seals
What types of black shower seals are available for glass showers?
A range of black seal profiles is available for glass showers. These include, amongst others, sliding lip seals, hollow-chamber seals and shower seals with integrated magnetic closing strips. The most suitable type depends on the position of the seal and the design of your shower.
What is the difference between vertical and horizontal black shower seals?
Vertical shower seals are used, for example, between the shower door and the fixed glass panel, between the glass and the wall, or between two glass doors. Horizontal seals, such as sliding lip seals, are situated at the bottom edge of the shower door and seal the gap between the door and the shower tray or the floor.
For which glass thicknesses are black shower seals suitable?
The black magnetic and hollow-chamber seals available in our range are suitable for glass thicknesses of 6 to 8 mm, for example, depending on the model. Always check the specified glass thickness for the relevant seal profile before placing your order.
Are black lip seals also suitable for round showers?
The black lip seals described here are straight and not flexible. They are therefore suitable for straight glass doors, but not for quarter-circle or circular showers. The seal is fitted to the bottom edge of the glass door, where it acts as a splash guard.
How do you clean and look after black shower seals properly?
For regular cleaning, we recommend using a microfibre cloth and lukewarm water. This helps to remove build-up and preserve the appearance and functionality of the black seal profiles for as long as possible. You will also find suitable care products for shower seals in our range.
