Care and cleaning products for a shower seal
Shower seals are in constant contact with water whilst showering. As a result, they are constantly exposed to a wide variety of factors and can suffer as a result: hard water in particular is a recurring issue here, as are deposits from soap scum and shower gel. Mould is often an additional problem, and the seals become brittle and porous. Furthermore, they can take on an unsightly discolouration and become increasingly damaged over time.
Appropriate care depending on the material
Shower seals can be made from a variety of materials – some are made from rigid PVC and others from flexible PVC. We do not recommend any harsh cleaning products, as these are likely to damage the seals. In our shop, we’ve put together the appropriate care and cleaning products here. As a general rule, with regular and careful maintenance, a soft microfibre cloth and lukewarm water are usually all you need for cleaning. However, circumstances can vary greatly. Anyone living in areas with very hard water will know exactly what we mean. In such cases, cleaning with just water and a cloth may simply not be enough.
