How does a magnetic shower door seal work?
A magnetic shower door seal features integrated magnetic strips which come into contact with one another when the shower doors are closed. This ensures that the doors are held securely together and that the gap between the glass panels is sealed.
What glass thickness do I need for a magnetic shower door seal?
Depending on the model, our magnetic locking strips are available for different glass thicknesses, including 4–5 mm and 6–8 mm. You should therefore measure the glass thickness as accurately as possible before purchasing.
What angles are available for magnetic shower seals?
Depending on the design of the shower, magnetic closing strips are available, for example, for 90°, 135° or 180°. Variants are also available for glass doors that meet at an offset angle, as well as special swing fittings.
Can I fit a magnetic shower door seal myself?
Yes. Many magnetic strike plates are simply clipped onto the edge of the glass and can be fitted without the need for any special tools. If necessary, the profiles can be cut to the required length beforehand.
Wann sollte eine magnetische Duschtürdichtung ausgetauscht werden?
Ein Austausch ist sinnvoll, wenn die Dichtung nicht mehr richtig auf dem Glas sitzt, porös oder stark verfärbt ist oder die Türen nicht mehr zuverlässig schließen und abdichten. Viele Profile lassen sich einfach entfernen und durch eine passende neue Magnetschließleiste ersetzen.
