Which shower profile seal is suitable for my shower?
The correct shower profile seal depends primarily on the thickness of the glass, the position of the profile and the gap to be sealed. You should therefore first check where the seal is to be fitted and the dimensions of your glass shower enclosure.
What is a shower channel seal used for?
Shower profile seals help to keep water within the shower area. Depending on the design, they are fitted to glass doors, side panels or the lower edge of the shower and seal the joints between the glass, the floor, the shower tray or other glass elements.
How do I measure a shower channel seal correctly?
Measure the glass thickness, the required length and the existing gap as accurately as possible. It is also helpful to note the shape of the existing profile when selecting a suitable replacement seal.
Can I replace a shower channel seal myself?
Many shower profile seals can be easily replaced by yourself. First, remove the old seal, clean the edge of the glass, and then fit the new profile evenly. It is important that the seal is suitable for the thickness of the glass and the installation situation.
When should a shower channel seal be replaced?
It is advisable to replace the seal if it has become brittle, damaged, discoloured or is leaking. If the seal is coming loose or water is leaking out of the shower, the shower seal should be checked and replaced if necessary.
