A standard or wide gap – it all depends on the sealing strip
Not every gap between a shower door and a fixed glass panel is the same. That is why, when choosing a centre seal for your all-glass shower, the size of the gap to be bridged is particularly important.
The standard wall and centre seal is designed for gaps of up to 12 mm. The flexible sealing strip bridges the existing gap, thereby ensuring a reliable seal between the glass panels.
For larger gaps, there is a version with a longer sealing flap. The profile for 6–8 mm glass, together with the support, has a total length of 23 mm and is specifically designed for larger gap sizes.
You should therefore measure the existing gap as accurately as possible before selecting a new centre seal. This ensures that the sealing flap can adequately bridge the gap between the shower door and the fixed glass panel.
