Magnetic sealing strips – secure & reliable sealing
Thanks to the integrated magnetic strips, the magnetic sealing strips are drawn together when the door is closed, ensuring a reliable seal for shower doors and glass panels. This helps to prevent water from splashing out, whilst at the same time blending discreetly into the glass shower enclosure – creating a cohesive and modern look.
Seamless integration into your bathroom
To ensure that the magnetic profiles fit your shower perfectly and close reliably, the glass thickness must first be determined. We offer magnetic sealing strips for glass thicknesses of 4–5 mm and 6–8 mm. In addition to the glass thickness and the angle, you should also take into account the gap dimension specified for the respective magnetic sealing strip. This refers to the distance that the magnetic seal must bridge between the glass panels. You will find the relevant dimensions in the product information.

Finding the right magnetic strike plate
To find the right magnetic closing strip for your shower, various factors need to be taken into account. The angle of the glass panels, the thickness of the glass and the specific installation situation are particularly important. A 90-degree magnetic seal strip is ideal, for example, when the two glass panels meet at a right angle. 135-degree magnetic seal strips, on the other hand, are suitable for shower designs such as pentagonal showers. With 180-degree magnetic seal strips, the two glass doors meet at a straight angle. For shower doors with swing fittings, we also offer 90-degree magnetic closing strips specially designed for this purpose. This allows you to select the magnetic seal to suit the design of your glass shower and ensure that the shower door closes reliably.

Replacing magnetic strike plates is easy
To replace an old magnetic seal strip, first remove the existing strips and then clean the glass edges thoroughly. Next, measure the glass thickness and determine the required angle for the new magnetic seal. Then select the appropriate type and length. The new magnetic profile can then be fitted onto the relevant glass edge. Finally, you should check how the shower door closes and ensure that the two magnetic strips meet correctly.

Which magnetic strike plate do I need for my shower?
The most important factors are the angle at which the glass elements meet, the glass thickness, the gap width and the installation conditions. Check these dimensions and characteristics before purchasing to ensure you select the correct magnetic seal.
What do 90, 135 and 180 degrees mean in relation to magnetic strike plates?
The angle specification describes the angle at which the glass panels meet when closed. 90-degree profiles are suitable for right-angled designs, 135-degree profiles, for example, for pentagonal shower enclosures, and 180-degree profiles for glass doors that meet at a right angle.
What thickness of glass must a magnetic strike plate have?
The magnetic strike must be suitable for the thickness of the glass pane in question so that it sits securely on the edge of the glass. In our range, you will find magnetic profiles for glass thicknesses of 4–5 mm and 6–8 mm.
When should a magnetic strike be replaced?
Replacement is advisable, amongst other things, if the magnetic strips no longer close reliably, are damaged or heavily worn, or no longer sit properly on the edge of the glass.
Can I replace a magnetic strike plate myself?
Many magnetic closing strips can be fitted directly onto the edge of the glass. To do this, remove the old profile, clean the edge of the glass and fit the new magnetic closing strip, ensuring it is suitable for the glass thickness and the installation situation. Finally, the closing mechanism should be checked.
